Who we are

Pltly is a workout tracking and fitness social app. In this policy, "Pltly", "we", and "us" refer to the app and the person who operates it. You can reach us at pltly@noahmitchem.com.

What we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work. Specifically:

• Account. Your email address, username, and name. If you sign up with a password, we store a cryptographic hash of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we store the identifier that provider gives us.
• Profile. Your bio and the date you joined.
• Body metrics. Your height, bodyweight, and — if you choose to provide it — sex. Bodyweight is kept over time so you can see it change. Sex is used only to look up strength standards for percentile calculations, and you can leave it unset.
• Training. Your workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, and streaks.
• Social. Who you follow, who follows you, your comments and kudos, and the accounts you have blocked, muted, or reported.
• Gyms. Your home gym, gym memberships, and check-ins.
• Device. A push notification token, so we can send the notifications you have enabled.

Location

Pltly does not collect your location. The app requests no location permission and has no access to your device's coordinates.

Health data

If you grant permission, Pltly connects to Apple Health. You control this per data type in the Health app, and you can revoke it at any time.

Pltly does not read any data from Apple Health. We only write: your Pltly workouts, active and resting energy, and walking and running distance, so your records stay consistent across your health apps.

The health and fitness data you enter in Pltly is used only to show you your own stats and insights. It is never used for advertising or marketing, and it is never sold or shared with third parties, including for their own purposes.

How we use your information

• To run the app: your account, your workouts, your feed.
• To calculate your stats, streaks, personal records, and strength percentiles.
• To show your content to the people you have chosen to show it to.
• To send notifications you have turned on.
• To respond to reports and keep the app usable.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Pltly, and we share only what each needs:

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, and Apple Push Notification service for delivering notifications.
• Google — Google Sign-In, if you choose that sign-in method.
• DigitalOcean — hosts the server the app talks to, and the database your account and workouts live in.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not track you

Pltly contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service, and no third-party tracking or attribution tools of any kind. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles. Nothing in the app reports your behavior to a third party.

You control who sees what

Pltly gives you separate visibility settings for your program, your workout details, your gym, and your bodyweight. Each can be set to anyone, people who follow you, people you follow back, or only you. Bodyweight defaults to private, and it is never shown in the feed or on any leaderboard.

Your rights

• Access. Your data is visible to you in the app. Email us if you want a copy.
• Correction. Edit your profile and workout data in the app at any time.
• Deletion. Delete Account in Settings deletes your account and your associated data from our database. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed from our database.

Children

Pltly is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we will say so in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
